Review on πŸ”Š TIC TFS25-SL 8-inch Weatherproof Omnidirectional Rock Speaker (Slate) - Ideal for Outdoor Use by Daniel Shankle

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Pour the lower end into the outside of the pool.

This is not a powered subwoofer so you will need to route the left and right speaker wires from the amplifier to this subwoofer and then from this subwoofer to the left and right speaker wires. Depending on the layout of your amp and L/R speakers, this may or may not be easy. Depending on the location, it was pretty easy for me. The upside is that it's fairly easy to run speaker wire, and this unpowered subwoofer doesn't need to be placed near an outlet that can be difficult to find from the outside. It's not booming, powerful bass. However, it definitely improved the sound of our two outdoor speakers (Yamaha). Before adding this subwoofer powered by the Sonos 100 amplifier the Yamaha sounded ok but it was like the highs had been boosted. This probably has more to do with their outdoor placement, concrete patio, and other very hard/reflective surfaces than the speakers sounded fuller when I tested them indoors. The addition of this subwoofer has really improved our patio music. The appearance of the stone allows you to get stuck in corners or anywhere people just aren't paying attention.
