Apple Cinema HD Display 23 " and new MacBook Pro solution

If you have an Apple Cinema HD Display (23" DVI Late 2005), A1082, M9178LL/A, matte, LCD, 1920×1200 with DVI D and a MacBook Pro (new USB-C) is what you need. Works at 1920 x 1200 resolution. Can be mirrored or used as additional real estate. It's very Apple - just plug it in and it works. To my knowledge this is NOT a solution for later 30" displays as the adapter does not support "Dual Link" as required for this monitor, but I do not have this monitor to test.
