Purchased for iPad Pro 12.9". Great for this purpose. The stand is all metal and the base is heavy enough enough to keep it stable enough no risk of tipping.The iPad clip itself is all plastic but strong enough to hold a large iPad or phone, just handle it carefully.As it is not metal you may break it if you treat it too roughly.They adjust the tightness of the joints with Allen wrenches (included) but I really wish they just put knobs on the joints instead as a wrench is never handy when you're doing quick adjustments The only downside I've noticed so far is that the arm is kind of "springy" which means with the weight of a large iPad on it it's a little bumpy nd bounces off when you touch the screen. The joints do NOT slip, there is just some elasticity in the metal itself.
