We hike and bike a lot in our family, and sometimes we prefer a "bum bag" to a full backpack, sometimes even a lightweight hydration pack. We have a lot of backpacks and water bags, but sometimes we need a hip pack. To be honest, I hate having water on my shins while cycling because I can't easily reach it without slowing down, so I prefer using a small backpack or fanny pack. What I love about it is that there are FOUR! decent sized zipped pockets to store some tools, my small purse, a snack etc. It also has room for a water bottle - and it actually comes with a 21-ounce bottle of CamelBak that stays securely in place. I love this pedestal bottle that has a lid to protect the spout you're drinking from from dirt. You can replace it with your own bottle if you like - it expands to accommodate slightly larger bottles. I really like the padded mesh back which provides ventilation. The back feels soft and supportive and doesn't dig in. This backpack has adjustable straps that stay in place and the front buckle is easy to use and snaps well too. The only downside is that you only get a 21 ounce bottle. . Other than that, I feel like it has plenty of room for your belongings. When I ride my bike I can have a second bottle instead of a bike frame and once I've drunk that I can switch two bottles so I always have a full one on hand. When I hike, it doesn't take long for me - someone else has a bag of extra water - or I do a very, very short hike. Overall I feel this is a durable and comfortable product. and universal. I haven't found any other fanny pack that I like more than this one.
