Review on 4In Stubby Antenna For Mazda Miata 1992-1998 - CravenSpeed Compatible by Ben Daugherty

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The Stubby was a perfect replacement antenna.

My 2018 Miata arrived without an external antenna. The seller was clueless as to what became of it. Local auto stores sold replacements to fit any and all cars. Well, all of the adapters didn't the Mazda's short socket. I made it work with a "D" faucet washer. It worked fine until a car washer's whirling wheels of straps broke it off. I needed a flexible short whip like I had on a '91 Miata (same threaded socket.) I found Stubby and from the picture on revain, it looked like the threaded anchor was attached to the antenna (yeah, baby!) and it wasn't long (alright, baby!) The length looked like it could hunker down and take a car wash whippin', so I bought it. Yes! It fit perfectly, and yes, it looks like it could take a lickin'. Now, I don't have to worry about forgetting to remove it before going through the car wash. And, the best part is that, besides good FM reception, it gets all the local AM stations as well as all the 50,000 watt ones in the nearby large markets in the daytime with plenty of sensitivity.
