I bought these because the rib on the earbud of my AirPods damages my ears so much that I can't wear them for very long and have to take breaks between whole days to rub them my ear. I bought these hoping they would cover that tiny ridge and provide a little cushion. Many headphones are too big for my ears, so I didn't want anything too thick. It is great. They cover the part that was irritating me and they provide a thin enough layer that doesn't hurt and still fits. I also like that they still fit in the AirPod case and I don't have to take them off. If you follow the instructions and use some water to put them on, they're pretty easy to put on too.
