I was a little unsure if this slider would stay in place, but it certainly did. My wife wore shoes and I was barefoot - I never slipped. I used this sheet of fabric to protect floors and baseboards while painting. I have used the fabric in several rooms with no problems. It was a lot cheaper compared to the prices at my local paint or home stores. If you are unsure which side should be "up" or "down", the manufacturer puts a sticker on it so you know how to align the fabric. So be sure to look for it before you start painting.
