TLDR Pros:+ Box becomes a cityscape that encourages creative play+ Pull out storage tray and Firetruck doubles as storage for all the pieces+ Pieces are compatible with other Educational Insights Design and Drill setsCons:- Batteries not included- Not a whole lot of building involved. The only thing to screw in for this kit are the wheels. We have the design and drill activity center we purchased years ago and it has been one of the best toys to help the kids with both hand and eye coordination.Of all the Design and Drill set's we've tried, this Firetruck version of Design and Drill by Educational Insights is one of the better sets we've tried. It combines the hand and eye coordination with creative play of firefighters and a fire truck. How can any kid not love this set? The box folds out to become the backdrop for the firetruck and in my opinion the box is one of the best parts of this set. With buildings for the firetruck to spray and fight fires the backdrop provides a rich landscape for creative play once the firetruck is assembled. When I say "assembled" I really mean just attaching the wheels because the rest of the screws are really just decorative. This set is easy enough that a 2.5 year old+ could probably play as long as they aren't putting things into their mouths anymore. The other feature that I really love about this set is that there is a removable grey tray that comes out to store all the screws. Best of all, the grey tray and pretty much everything including the drill can fit into the firetruck for storage. So even if you decide to toss the box, which I would recommend keeping, everything is stored in one place. One recommendation is that you make sure you keep the drill bit in a good place. Without it, the drill is pretty useless. We have other sets of Design and Drill so losing the drill bit wasn't a huge issue for us. The drill bit is loose because in some of the other versions of Design and drill, there is the option to change the bolt drill bit out for a flat head screw bit. If you only have a single set and don't plan on buying more, I recommend gluing the drill bit into the drill so you don't have to worry about losing the bit.Educational Insights Design & Drill Bolt Buddies Fire Truck: Fine Motor Skills & STEM Toy, Perfect Drill Toy for 3+
