Stingy with Glinda, Dorothy, Toto, Cowardly Lion, Flying Monkeys; Silver book shoes pictured

Just look at all the amazing projects people have made using this Magic of Oz paper pack. The layout is amazing but some of the pages feel delayed. The range includes an unusual combination of pages in soft vintage colors (stripes, Oz newspaper, Scarecrow and Tin Man, emerald green pages etc.) and deep orange, purple and black. It's almost like working with two different paper bags as they don't mix and match as easily as I would expect from a curated paper bag. It's very heavy on the black and orange sides, creating an off-themed Halloween look. The Tin Woodman and the Scarecrow have many properties in this collection. It would be great to see more of Glinda, Dorothy, Toto and the Cowardly Lion. Some flying monkeys are present, but they somehow disappear into their dark purple side. These characters are on a cut out page of a deck of cards (Journey to Oz), but their height does not exceed 2 inches. Shiny stickers. The blue and white gingham sticker in particular looks very bright and fresh, making it out of place against the muted ivory/cream and cornflower blue gingham sides and Oz logo. Dorothy's paper dress is closer to the color of the sticker. As shown in the book, Dorothy has silver (grey) slippers. I would dye her ruby red, but she wears red socks.

Pros
  • decorative paper
Cons
  • boring packaging
