Review on Motorola MBP50-G2 Video Baby Monitor - 5" LCD, 2 HD Cameras W/ Infrared Night Vision & Remote Pan/Tilt/Zoom by Danny Crowder

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Best practical baby camera on the market.

So far battery is good, but I suspect in time the monitor will die quickly in the future. The sound quality is nice. I have purchased other brands in the past and it is my experience that "you get what you pay for” when it comes to baby monitors. I decided to shell out money for this one instead of going cheap like I have previously and it is significantly higher quality. The ONLY thing that would make this monitor near perfect (which is a flaw in ALL monitors with multiple cameras). The VOX ability doesn’t work with more than one camera. I see it as a simple coding/programming fix that can be done when the monitor is put in scan mode. if there is noise on the camera side the monitor will have leds that indicate noise level and the monitor will blurt out the noise, but the screen does not turn on. So if you’re a heavy sleeper like me where noise doesn’t wake you but light does, this still doesn’t turn the monitor screen on. It’s just a simple line/s of code that Motorola needs to add to the device and it could do just that. So simple and it would have the VOX function for multi-cam in scan mode. sooo close! But the way the have it is the closest thing on the market having VOX in a multi-cam setup. Other than that one minor oversight, this camera is by far the best one I’ve experienced so far.
