I am very happy with my purchase

I am very happy with my purchase. The lamp itself has a simple elegance. It goes with almost any of your decorations. The lampshade itself doesn't look like plastic when you walk across the room. You're the only one who knows about this. If that bothers you, spend another 100.00 and get the lamp of your dreams. For me the main attraction, quality and price. I've had this lamp for 2 months, I can't say anything about the durability. There is good light. I have an overhead light in my kitchen that I miss. I love bright things. This perfectly satisfies my need for more light. The dimmer worked well with standard 3 way light bulbs. I then tried to save money by buying CFL bulbs and using them to save money in the long run as I use them quite often. CFL bulbs don't dim, but I prefer to use this bulb in bright mode, I'm happy with that. Just thought you might be interested to know that the 3 way feature works well with 3 way bulbs. At this price you really can't go wrong with this lamp.** UPDATE: I've had this lamp for over a year now and still love it. I use it almost every day, everything works great. I've had it for 14 months now and the visor looks great and still doesn't look like plastic at first glance. It looks like glass. This time I uploaded a photo taken (of course) at night so you can see the light output.
