This item is amazing. It folds less than most, looks good and feels sturdy with a solid finish. It required a very simple, minimal assembly. My twins are barely too big to stand there together. I wish they had made it wider! It would be 5 stars out of 5, but when raising or lowering the platform with the kitchen gadget fully open, the platform scrapes the sides. I think the hinges are too tight which allows the sides to tilt in and the moving parts to touch. I gently push the page away so the paint doesn't rub off. I saw another reviewer mention it's dangerous/unstable. I don't see that true if it's put together correctly. It can't tip over under normal use or if a toddler climbs in as it has stabilizing legs that *and* are held in place with dowels. It cannot collapse as you must attach the brass hinges before lowering the platform. Even the platform itself keeps them open. I still keep a close eye on my little ones while they are in to make sure no one gets out etc but as a parent you do just that. This is a very durable and quality item.
