.but it became a floor and back lifesaver! I always kept some under a small box because our cat is a "thrower". trash everywhere! And we have a closed tray! I used throw/litter mats and a plastic mat with edges and the cat was still chasing debris around the house. Constantly sweeping. But it actually catches the trash with its little paws when it comes out of the crate, and all that happens is getting it out of the crate while it's inside! The only maintenance is to periodically pick it up and dump it in the bin.
