Overhyped and underwhelming, the Hykolity Online Store

As a reviewer, I have very high standards for internet retailers claiming expertise in the fields of power tools, home electronics, lighting, and ventilation. Hykolity web store, nevertheless, did not live up to these requirements. The quality and value of their products were overstated, and their support staff was unsatisfactory. The products I received did not even come close to matching the quality of the photographs used on their website, and their descriptions were completely wrong. The equipment was fragile and badly built, and the illumination was inadequate. The ceiling fans were the worst, with their cheap construction and annoying noise. In addition, their support staff was slow to respond and even slower to offer any assistance. I called customer service to request a return or exchange, but was confronted with excessive wait times and unhelpful representatives. Their customer service was rude and unhelpful; they dismissed my problems without offering any serious solutions. Last but not least, their shipping and handling fees were quite high, and there was a general lack of clarity on the prices of their goods. I didn't feel like I was getting my money's worth, and I thought I was being taken advantage of. In sum, if you're in the market for high-quality hardware, indoor/outdoor lighting, or other related items, I wouldn't suggest you check out the Hykolity online site. Their excessive costs, lackluster quality, and unhelpful customer support all add up to a terrible experience for internet buyers.

Pros
  • a fair handling and shipping charge.
Cons
  • Ceiling fans that are a letdown
