I feed my dog dry food with wet food which I sometimes add as a supplement or treat. This freeze-dried patty is a great alternative to canned wet food. I think it could be especially handy for travel as it's very light. The feeding instructions call for wetting the patty with warm water or broth. I also broke off a piece and let the dog dry. My dog was very excited when I cooked it, she liked that it was wet and dry. The top three ingredients are beef heart, salmon, and beef liver, followed by healthy ingredients, including lots of veggies and fruit. There are no fillers, wheat, soy, or artificial colors or flavors. The food smells like salmon, but not that much. The cake was packaged in a ziplock bag inside a cardboard box. Neither the packaging nor the box were sealed at the factory. The ziplock pouch gave it a homemade feel, which in itself isn't a bad thing, but the lack of a seal reduces my confidence in an edible product.
