The computer has a VGA port for monitoring. . I didn't know my computer had a display port. and can be used to add a second monitor. bought a 6ft cable and plugged the display port into the display's HDMI connector. Now I have two monitors and don't need to buy a graphics card for my computer. Very happy. I'm kicking myself for not knowing anything about computer-based displayport. It's good to have 2 monitors to work with.
