The lamp also fits in a small space in my microwave ovens . I'm glad I got the 60W equivalent. Exactly what I wanted, lumen-wise. This lamp has replaced a 25W halogen lamp. So a 40W equivalent would be a disappointment. If you turn down the brightness in the microwave by one level, the lamp will flicker a little. Strange, because when I put on a frosted lens, the flicker is barely noticeable. I still don't use a dimmer. So the lamp is good!
