Go to full size and you will be so happy, this dress is the first one I bought in a medium size and it was too tight in the tummy if you are 40+ it was very flattering much more comfortable to wear as it was large but never felt baggy or loose. There was no itching and the bra area is covered well enough that you don't need to wear a bra and fits snug enough to feel supported. I had a 4" heel and was still long enough. 5'6" - 5'8"
