Review on 🐶 CANIDAE PURE, Grain Free Limited Ingredient Premium Wet Dog Food, 12-Case by Toni Chapman

DO NOT FEED YOUR DOG! Something is terribly wrong with him! I used to buy the same Canidae salmon/yam food at my local pet store to find a salmon based food for my dog who has a food intolerance. We had nine cans and my dog liked it and felt good about it. As we were getting low, I ordered more from Revain. The first jar I opened from the new case looked different than the one we bought locally, didn't smell the same and had a different texture. I checked the expiration date and the food is not expired. At this point, I mistakenly assumed that the Canidae had changed their formula and fed my dog the new food. Unfortunately, she became ill and vomited several times throughout the day. Either this food has gone bad or the wrong product was put in the jars. I don't know if it has gone bad or maybe tastes different, but either way the quality control of Canidae is very poor. After my dog vomited for the first time, I went back to Revain's website to see if others had the issue. with this food and saw other reviews that said their dog food order looked and smelled different as well. Please read all reviews to understand that my issue with this food is not unique. There is definitely something wrong with this and it should not be given to your pet! I called Canidae to report the issue and request a refund. Judging by the barrage of questions they asked me, it seemed like they wanted to blame me for my dog eating something else (she wasn't eating anything else) and deny that they had a nutritional issue. I informed them that there are similar reviews here on Revain and that they should be aware of a serious, potentially life-threatening problem with their food. Regarding my request for a refund, they refused me and offered me a voucher to buy more groceries. I had to forward my request to the manager who also couldn't refund my money. I have tried Canidae but this issue is too serious to trust them with my dog's health again. I will never buy Canidae again and the coupon means nothing to me. Luckily, Revain made an exception to their no return dog food policy and gave me my money back. More importantly, my dog is a little better today. Please do not buy this food for your dog. I should remember, but probably won't. It is not suitable for consumption!
