Versatile and easy to use
I don't know what these other reviewers are talking about. I have not or not received the remote control. I have two tripod cell phone mounts and they are very stable. Available in a variety of mounting sizes, they easily attach to a standard 1/4" tripod mounting screw. The tension of the spring holds the phone well.
