I'm starting a YouTube channel, so I didn't want to spend a lot. This camcorder is actually legal and shoots clear video - much better than I expected. Microphone audio works well and the camera is light enough that my bag doesn't weigh a ton when I take it with me. A good camera if you are tech savvy and can figure things out yourself as the manual is not very detailed. You'll have to buy your own SD card, but that's common.
