Review on Secure Your Laptop with the Kensington Portable Laptop Combination Cable Lock - Letter Combination Lock (K64684US) by Shahed Cleveland

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Faulty lock

Good start. The instructions for the lock are incredibly ambiguous. There's no clear procedure for setting the combination, but I think I got that part right anyway. The main problem was that the T-bar that is supposed to lock the lock was broken. Instead of a full 90 degree rotation as instructed in the instructions, the lock I received only rotated about 30 degrees. However, due to the inaccurate instructions, I did not understand the defect at first and put the padlock in the laptop. That was the most annoying part of my experience; The lock got stuck in my $1500 unit and due to a faulty T-bar it didn't come out as the manual said. For an hour I tried to pick the lock; in the end I was able to pull it out; it didn't even close properly. Looking at other reviews it seems like my experience might be an anomaly. But I would not recommend buying this lock. I am expecting a full refund including shipping from the company. Looking at other reviews it seems like my experience might be an anomaly.
