Review on 🐴 Troxel ES Equestrian Helmet for Horseback Riding by Dave Mosby

I have been riding for years and this is my favorite helmet so far. It's inexpensive, cool, comfortable, has a washable lining, doesn't smell and doesn't make me look like a mushroom head. Troxel's customer service is also excellent. I bought my first one about 3 years ago and when I washed the FlipFold liner the stitching came undone. Troxel quickly sent me a replacement. Just bought my second helmet to use as a show helmet because my first one got a little dirty - no fault of Troxel, I wear it 3-5 times a week all year round in all weather and conditions - and to have a spare a copy in case I ever fall and hit my head. As everyone should know, once a helmet hits the ground it needs to be replaced, most helmets (with the exception of some expensive specialty helmets) are designed to take only one hit. Fit wise I have a small narrow head and this helmet is great for that. The flip down adjustment means the helmet would still fit if my head was narrower. I'm not sure if this would be the best helmet for someone with a very round or wide head, but there are plenty of helmets for this. Another thing I like is that the rear attachment system doesn't reach mid-neck like most adjustable helmets do. It has some play and can be adjusted up and down a bit, but it's the only one I've tried that doesn't give me a neck pain or headache. The ventilation system works well too, even in summer it's cooler than all but one helmet (I think the Troxel Sport which is very open). All in all, at $100, this helmet is a great buy!
