I didn't realize how humid our ground floor/partial basement apartment was until we got it. We have struggled with mold in a number of places and generally had breathing issues due to the humidity. We had it for about 12 hours and had to empty the tank twice. The auto setting started at around 70 percent and went down to around 60 after that 12, so I can see the air getting better. It's also incredibly quiet. We slept with him all night and the only real sound he made was when the tank was full. Incredibly happy with this device and would recommend it for ease of use. Hopefully we won't have to empty the tank that often, but I think our apartment has a lot of humidity, otherwise we wouldn't need a dehumidifier.
