These are really good gloves, they wouldn't be my first choice for welding or hard work but they are not sold that way. In fact, they are durable, stretchy knitted gloves with a grippy rubber palm and rubber "armour" on the back. The knit construction makes them much more flexible when it comes to fit. Because they are very flexible, unlike normal leather work gloves, you can wear different sizes of gloves. The rubber "armor" on the back is very colorful and may seem a little flashy to some, but it does a good job of protecting the back of the hand and fingers from injury (within reason). The grippy rubber surface on the palms really helps you feel what you're holding and allows you to really manipulate small parts and tools without getting frustrated because you can't feel what you're doing.
