If the spoon was of better quality I would give it 5 stars. But hey, grab your spoon. I bought this because I needed a container big enough to hold a lot of winter soup and this purchase really delivered. I packed my soup early in the morning and by lunchtime it was still warm (not hot) and still tasted delicious. This is truly a container for a hungry person because I found the size to run out meaning I stopped filling it to the brim because I just couldn't eat all of the soup. I wash dishes by hand. You'll need a sponge to clean the inside and one of those cleaning brushes to clean the lid. Honestly, whoever complains about the cleaning will not be satisfied with anything. My only slight disappointment was the spoon. After opening and closing the spoon for about 2 weeks it kind of lost its firmness so I had to wrap a rubber band around the handle to keep it from falling. But I just started bringing my own spoon. Your spoon only serves as a safety net. If I can find a way to tighten the loops on the spoon I will.
