My hands hurt a lot in the morning so I thought something like this might help. I was a little worried I wouldn't be able to sleep in them but they are terribly comfortable. *surprised that I can sleep with both of them. They seem to keep my hands in the right position so they aren't so stiff and painful in the morning. The braces have a nice, hard inside, of course, but the fabric cover is *very* soft for my sensitive skin. The straps are made of the same material and do not pinch the skin when you put them on. Braces are unfortunately quite expensive, but I would consider them worthy in terms of quality and usefulness.
