Based on the buyer's experience, it is very uncomfortable for me to note how troublesome it is to buy goods and services at such a high price, especially in the United States ( the need , constantly replacing things due to the quality of the object/thing). I think we expect good products, but they are always "worth" less than what money can buy. All this to say yes. It's "worthy" of the $30+ I paid for this item, but could be less. but this is based on my comparison of the same product from other companies. I think it has to do with the somewhat questionable strength of the tripod, to the point that its chord isn't long enough to use the ring light and tripod in my bedroom to take pictures. I think this is a good "starter" ring light. I've never had one, but I've seen "Darlings". Now $30+ is a lot for someone in college. It's gas or money for ridiculous book prices. The word "expensive" is subjective. I think it can be paid for and it gives me the privilege of providing the best lighting for online content because I have the privilege of creating content and taking photos with my digital camera. Unfortunately, due to cost and material, I think this item is likely to stop working or cause problems in the future. I appreciate that I have a ring lamp now, but I suspect I'll have to buy an even more expensive one in the future to keep up with what I need. I am hopeful and a very staunch optimist, although this post may reflect the opposite. So given this information, I won't discourage others from buying this ring light, but I suggest you save up for a more durable and non-adjustable ring light that doesn't tighten or lock in place like it should. as I tested on this tripod. Update: (January 13, 2021) The evening I received this I tested it with my Canon M50. Tripod and ring light received. It wasn't easy to keep going. However, my mic was pressed firmly against it and I had to adjust it so that it was in a wobbly position. The ring light is advertised as wider than it was. My Canon M50 isn't too big, but I wouldn't recommend it for a dlsr that's larger like the Nikon 3000-7000 or anything significantly larger than the Canon M50. There are large ring lights and I would buy one of those so you can place the mic/other accessories. The illumination of this ring light is good for indoor YouTube videos. I haven't tested it outdoors. But the light looks good. It does the job.
