Review on Pelican 1510 Case With Foam (OD Green) by David Rhodes

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Virtually indestructible carry-on size suitcase

The order came surprisingly quickly for something of this size. The packaging is a simple cardboard box, but you don't need it, these cases are designed to take a beating with a smile. The 1510 is the ideal size for air travel as it meets the FAA's maximum carry-on dimensions, meaning it will fit comfortably in the cargo hold of any commercial aircraft. The O-ring on the lid and the safety valve on the body make these cases waterproof. He even swims! (Ask me how I know). Replacement parts, modifications and upgrades are readily available. So if you like the olive drab body on roller skate wheels, pink grips, yellow latches and gold embossed nameplate, you can get it. And most importantly: LIFETIME WARRANTY! If you manage to damage these cases, you deserve a replacement. The only downside to an enclosure is the price, that is, until you factor in the price of the hardware you're protecting inside. Then it sounds like cheap insurance. Now I'm thinking about buying Pelican cases for all my expensive astrophotography gear.
