Love this idea! My daughter is still young, but I wanted to introduce her to zippers and buckles at an early age. She is obsessed with all things lace related and of course loves to untie her shoelaces. The only reason I sadly had to take the star off is because I took a picture opening it and then (because it has small choking parts I checked everything before giving it to my ;19 month old) the button literally fell off when I barely touched it. The knobs are a bit cheap but the quality of the whole product is pretty good. There are many versions of this busy pad, but I like the price of this one better. I saw the exact same thing on Amazon for almost $30 and I'm glad I bought this one. My daughter will be using it for a long time and it's perfect for toddlers to learn the basics of tying shoelaces, buttons, zippers and buckles.
