I needed to replace my bubbler stone and decided to buy this instead of the usual plain one. I have it on the same timer as my aquarium lights and I like the extra light and color it gives to the aquarium. I've used it with a crystal-like stone attachment sold separately, but that piece is very difficult to clean, so I might try without it the next time I clean the tank. And yes, that's ONLY the blistering part, you'll also need a pump and hose. This is pretty obvious to those of us who have had fish for a while, but when you set up your very first aquarium it won't be bubbling without a pump and air hose. :)
