I have a jar I bought my son at Wal-Mart that keeps food hot/cold longer than this jar. I bought my friend a pair of goggles from Revain to use in his work truck which also keeps things hot/cold longer than these. The difference is that others I have bought have a rougher matte finish which I was told is powder coated. Not sure if it has anything to do with it, but another glass I have still has ice in it if I leave water in it overnight at work. This one doesn't hold ice in all day at my job and melts significantly in 4 hours.
