The volume specified as the minimum is in no way even close to approaching the bare minimum. Because of this, you shouldn't take it with you if you prefer to listen to music with a low volume as background noise (we took it to our grandparents and they didn't seem to mind the volume, but I found the headphones to be quite loud). In addition, the headphones are too small for me, so the pressure they put on my head makes it uncomfortable to wear them for an extended period of time.
