These are adorable flat Mary Jane shoes in the traditional T shape. The pet used is leather and smells nice, not filled with chemicals like the "Dream Paris" brand. You are big so you need to scale down the size. Size 9 has a 7" sole. The padding is moderate. Definitely more cushioning for dress shoes than everyday. The sole is nice to the touch, rubber, with good grip, making it a safe and comfortable shoe. Apart from the Size up I find their shoes to be of good quality and worth the price, I should also add that they were cheaper on amazon.com than elsewhere I've looked.
