I had a 2014 TYR transition pack which is probably similar to today's TYR Alliance pack which looks overpriced and drab. As it started to wear out and holes were forming around the zipper, I decided to give the Arena a try. This backpack is just right for my needs. I wanted the sneakers to be separate from my clean work suit. And it had to have a towel, shampoo/conditioner (travel size), padlock, phone, work shoes and shower slippers. Not much more space if you had a jacket for example it might not fit. The lid opens forward, but I'll get used to it. And I hope the shoe compartment zipper won't let you down as it's rectangular shape. I love the fact that it sits upright even when empty. Affordable price compared to Speedo or TYR and better color choices. I love colors, I want to go to the gym because I'm so stylish. Convenient pocket placement and super functionality. Highly recommended
