Speakers ok, mic sounds ok. Good headset for the price. Although the cable is long enough, the lights are powered by a USB plug that plugs into the headphone/mic jack with only about 3 inches of play between them. If there isn't a USB port near the headphone and microphone jacks (or you're using one with a console controller), you won't be able to use the backlight. Pretty solid headset for the price but with good sound and build quality
