Review on Inserter Powering Subscriber Amplifiers 5 1002MHz by John Floyd

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Before replacing the antenna amplifier or the antenna, check the power supply!

Over the course of several months I gradually lost most of the OTA reception thinking my amplifier had failed or my antenna had deteriorated in the five years of ownership. I bought a simple continuity tester to test coax cables. All approved. Just in case, I checked the throughput of the power inserter. There is no successor. Well, I don't know enough about the electronics in the power supply to be sure it's bad, but I figured ten bucks for a new one was a lot cheaper than replacing an amp or antenna, so I gave it a try! All channels are working again, as if the antenna and amplifier were new.

Pros
  • Satellite TV
Cons
  • Not working
