My extra sheets are in the dresser drawer because there is no linen closet in this house. Even with a linen closet, your sheets still smell like musky. Anyway, I bought these fragrances for the drawers and instead of cutting them up and putting them in the drawer I just loosened the roll a bit and put the roll in the back of the drawer. I put the leaves in front of the roll. It works perfectly. The flavor is still there because you don't unwrap it. That should extend the lifespan. The smell is very pleasant when I open the box. Sheets and pillowcases smell fresh and clean, no musky smell. Highly recommended. This would be perfect for a child's room. I bought on August 7th, 2021 and after a month the scent is still lasting. But like I said, I didn't roll it out. I just unclip the roll and put it in a drawer
