My son is 7 years old. By the time he entered preschool, he began to show signs of intense anxiety. From birth he never slept through or in his bed. I kept asking myself, when will this end? He was perpetually emaciated, argumentative, and slightly ill, which I gather from his last sleep. He also had dark bags under his eyes. A friend of mine recommended this blanket to me. I thought why not, I'm already losing sleep. It arrived within 1 day with free Amazon Prime shipping and they offered a discount. When my son climbs into his bed and lays it on him. He slept all night, folks! And it's even better that a week has passed and he hasn't woken up and come to bed with us. I just want to cry because I'm so happy! He is much happier and has a lot of energy. At night he is no longer afraid. This is the best thing ever created. In my excitement I forgot to mention that I received a 10lb blanket in a small size I believe 4ft by 5ft. It was a little smaller than I expected but still does the job. The blanket should be 20% of your child's weight and my son is around 50 pounds so it was just what we needed without being too heavy. The blanket has small beads sewn into small squares which gives it its weight. Haven't tried machine washing it yet so can't comment on that, but it seems very strong.
