Revainrating 5 out of 5

Nice functional display; limited Mac support

WIMAXIT External Touchscreen Monitor: $198.99 at time of review. I put it off for a long time. Due to the current restrictions, I don't travel much for work. But that will change and then I will need a different screen for my laptop. You kind of forget how productive the second screen makes you until you don't have it anymore. So I decided to try this WIMAXIT external monitor. The packaging is very beautiful. It is a pleasure to 'unpack' this monitor from the high quality white box it comes in. There aren't many things, but you don't need much. Wimaxit offers you all connection options (USB-C, HDMI, etc.) as well as a power supply. Now let's get down to business. This monitor is great! The USB-C to USB-C connection worked flawlessly with my Surface Book. It provided power and signal over a single cable and almost instantly turned into an extender screen (after I configured it to my liking in Windows). The touchscreen is a great addition, but to be honest I don't use it much on the second screen. My only disappointment was having to use a USB-C to HDMI adapter and an external power supply. to connect this monitor to my macbook laptop. And of course the touchscreen doesn't work that way. However, the product listing doesn't mention Apple compatibility, and Macs are notorious for not supporting touchscreen controls. So I didn't rate Apple at all. I think it's worth noting that other reviewers have complained about the faux leather case that doubles as a kickstand. I had no real problems with it. About halfway up is a row of magnets that attach it to the back of the screen for added stability of the stand. The range of motion isn't great, so you kind of hang on to the angle, but it's fine for regular work. -------------*Good*: Nice, functional touchscreen, very easy to use with USB-C and Windows 10. *Bad*: Almost $200, quite expensive. But you get what you pay for. * Verdict: * This is a great monitor. From now on he will be my traveling companion for work. 5 out of 5 stars for a great durable screen with great connectivity. I would order that.

Pros
  • The adjustable stand gives you the perfect viewing angle
Cons
