During two weeks of testing, I ran A/B tests using ZS10 Pro, MH750 (modified 16-wire copper cable) and LG phone headphones as controls. I used the included ear tips and cable. For this test, I used the LG V35 as my main audio source. I'm also a high school student if you think age affects hearing. The music genres I listen to are: Rock, Pop, Rap, J-Pop (OP/ED Anime), Classical (Symphony Orchestra, String Orchestra, String Solo), EDM, some Nat King Cole songs and Lofi. The songs I listened to are in lossless audio format (24-bit/96.0kHz, 24-bit/48.0kHz) or downloaded from Spotify with the best quality setting. SIZE / APPROACH (5/5). These headphones are slightly larger than the ZS10. Pro, but the shape of the earbuds themselves actually fits really well. I find the ZSX is the best match for my headphones. I usually remove my headphones by pulling the cable. I find it very difficult to rip off the ears, so I take them out by hand. The ZSX is the only pair of headphones that I feel the need to take my ears out like this. ACCESSORIES (3/5) Okay, the cable is a bit odd. In terms of sound, there is nothing wrong with the cable. In fact, the materials used in the cable are pretty good. My biggest criticism of them is the unusually long Y-split. They can get confused very easily. For me it was mostly confusing due to the long Y fork. I've never had to buy new ear pads, so I can't comment on how ear pads affect the sound. The included earbuds are comfortable for me no matter what. CONSTRUCTION (5/5) I don't feel the need to protect these headphones from wear and tear. They are very durable. AUDIO (5/5) I've never been so impressed with a pair of headphones on first impression. I wouldn't say these are very bass heavy headphones compared to the headphones for LG phones and MH755. I feel like they have the same amount of bass as the two, but the bass is more pronounced on the ZSX. The separation of vocals and instruments was one of the first things I noticed about these headphones. These headphones do a very good job of reproducing the fine details that I could only see on the Tin P1. Although ZSX is not at the P1 level in terms of separation, they are close. Compared to ZS10 Pro, ZSX has more clarity. Both are similar in terms of bass, but the ZSX delivers better results in the upper range. Compared to MH750, ZSX has better separation, but MH750 has more bass in terms of quantity. The bass is more pronounced on the ZSX. The top end is also more pronounced and crisp on the ZSX, but there were times when I felt a slight hiss that wasn't the case with the MH750. They have about the same amount of bass compared to LG phone headphones. . The bass is more pronounced on the ZSX. Both earphones have a slight noise. Not a big problem, but definitely there. The song that sticks out to me the most is "STAND PROUD" by Jin Hashimoto from Jojo's Bizzare Adventure Part 3: Stardust Crusaders (Season 1). At the very beginning of the song, a hiss appears in the first few words. However, it doesn't bother me that much. Everything about the ZSX is better than LG's phone headphones (as you'd expect), except for the cable. Unsurprisingly, LG's headphone cables don't get tangled as often. If you have headphones like the Tin T3 or similar sound signatures, you'll find that these headphones are very bass-heavy. On first impressions I found these headphones to be very bass heavy having been using the Tin T3 as my daily driver for several months. For this reason I have decided to wait two weeks after receiving these headphones to write this review. I knew that the Tin T3 doesn't have as much bass as other, cheaper headphones, so I decided to adapt to the "bassiness" of these headphones before making a final judgement. Overall (4.6/5) these headphones are GOOD for the price. The cord is a bit odd given how much it can tangle in a day, but the headphones themselves are RELIABLE. I bought a fairly cheap replacement cable (CCA C2 Orange Blue Braided Silver Cable 8 Core) to avoid cable clutter. The difference in sound quality may be just in my head, but I think the highs have been reduced a bit. If you're looking for a pair of headphones to sit back and relax in, these are my recommendations.
