My child can wear them all day. there is an elastic band so she could wear them if they were on the big side and the excess was removed through the heel. She grew up in it after wearing it for several months. We constantly get compliments on how cute they are. They wipe off pretty well. My only complaint is that the "rain" stitching frayed and had loose ends that I had to trim. The "rain" stitches are not centered through the hearts, so there are some parts of the heart that have curled up fluttering around over time.
