When they arrived they were a lot smaller than the very large almost scrunchie I was looking to replace but I actually like them a lot better! They are much thinner and therefore appear more streamlined in the rear. They also work better with short hair than the thick, tall ones I replaced. They have a great grip and far less damage than the flimsy "hairproof" elastics I would use. I haven't had one that was too stretchy, but I appreciate a large bag so I don't feel bad if it gets lost or has to be thrown away. If you have very thick curly hair it probably won't be big or knotted enough for you, but for all other textures and thicknesses, give it a try!
