Question about this answer: Does this lamp (Quans 10W AC, UV LED) cure acrylics? Well designed, beautiful lamp. It even has a bracket for attaching it to a wall or other mount. Apparently I'd give her a five, but that wasn't the reason for her purchase. The end use should be the curing of UV resins. I tested a few: #1 was the type specifically designed for use in jewelry and sold by a jewelry store; #2 was one of the Chinese products available from Revain. Both cured satisfactorily after half an hour exposure. with the lamp glass less than 2.5 cm from the resin surface. At this distance, the piece is limited to 1 inch or less in diameter and has thin slices. After 15 minutes, #1 was still soft although the surface had hardened, and #2 was fully cured. After 10 minutes, #2 was cured. ed, but the surface was soft enough to scratch with a wooden toothpick. Obviously this lamp isn't powerful enough for any real world size and thickness, although I would be fine for jewelry if the exposure time wasn't so long. I'll look elsewhere to find a wider range and more powerful resin curing lamp. Admittedly, this lamp is not advertised specifically for UV resins. However, with an AC power supply and a switch, it's probably a good choice for "black light" scene lighting. So all in all I gave it a four.
