They are ok and you get a TON of these for the price, I would say the quality control and overall quality of each candle is pretty poor. If you need more than 40 candles for something, that's a great price, but I think next time I might choose a different brand if I need more. Problem 1: The switch on the bottom is EXTREMELY stiff, making it difficult for people with weak hands to operate. I use them in homemade jewelry and this makes them much less suitable for older relatives. Problem 2: Some arrived dead; even after removing the battery compartment and checking the battery. Out of the 15 I tested, 2 were dead so it wasn't a huge loss (I'll update the review if more are dead in a few days). Note: They always flicker - they cannot be equipped. In steady light mode, flicker is good when you want a candle effect, but it makes it a little less good for steady light (e.g. if you want to use them for reading during a power outage).
