I bought this to keep my dog off one of my couches. It works exactly as expected. The first time he jumped on her it really scared him and he didn't even try anymore. The only downside is that he can see if he's lying on the couch or not. When he's not there, he knows he can go ahead and hop on the couch and nothing will happen. Too bad there's no way to hide him under a pillow or something so he doesn't know what's making the noise. I thought I could use it to scare cats off some things, but they're too picky about where they step. They just walk around it very easily. I even put it on the counter and they just jump next to it or behind it. Absolutely doesn't work with cats.
