I bought this item a while ago for my boyfriend's birthday. They didn't bother installing the cable in their home until a few months after receipt, it was well past the return/replacement period. After they installed the cable, it did nothing. They thought it might be the ethernet port on their computer since the computer was outdated. However, you recently bought a new computer and the cable still doesn't work. It seemed like a lot as all my friend needed was a long category 5e cable but I ended up wasting my money. I wish I could actually review the topic, but I can only say my personal experience.
