Review on πŸ”‘ Honda Key Fob Shell - No Cutting Needed for Keyless Entry Remote Case & Pad by Nate Skinner

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Easily replace a broken key with a new shell. Fits perfectly Honda Pilot Key 2009

Easy to make, perfect fit. If you insert and screw in the tiny screw that comes in your little zip bag (DON'T LOSE IT IN THE CARPET - and DO NOT use the original screw, if you still had it, use the longer screw that comes with your recovery kit ), remember that it screws into the plastic on the opposite side of the case, so don't over-tighten or remove. Press it down to keep dust out and call it good. You can always adjust it a bit later if needed. The screwdriver that came with it was fine, but I have very strong hands. You may need to lay the key flat or partially and apply good pressure to begin removing the factory key. My small factory screw had some softer locktite that had to be unscrewed before the screw could come out. If you are not careful you can easily remove the screw AND/OR screwdriver. Leather gloves will help turn if necessary. So press DOWN on the head of the screw and turn and all should be fine. Back to the product itself, it's excellent. The fit, the tight tolerances, the durability and for the price I'll be getting another one just to toss it in a box just in case. AND THE LAST! While you've taken it apart, now is a good time to put in a new battery. Requires a CR 1616, 3V, small hearing aid battery, assuming you are repairing a factory Honda key fob.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Some issues
