These LED lights work well but it is dangerous to use them as indicator or decoration lights in a moving vehicle. The luminous flux is around 60 lumens - as much as a night light in the bedroom. When connected to the USB port next to the driver, the light output is dazzling. When connected to the rear USB port, the beam illuminates the entire rear window. They only work when the car's electrical system is on, so are useless as a guide. Another reviewer noted that he had to cover half of the LED with black tape to avoid the glare. It might be a good idea if the lighting unit had a small switch and maybe a lampshade.
