This is exactly what I needed in the Switch to be able to use a keyboard (uses 2 USB ports), mouse and headset between my personal PC and my work laptop. I had enough display and HDMI cables to easily switch input settings on my monitors, and this allowed me to use my good personal PC peripherals in place of a laptop keyboard and touchpad. It made working from home insanely comfortable (creating comfort). For the price, this USB switch was definitely worth it. It may not work with monitors, but the display KVM switch is more than I wanted to spend. I've had this setup for a long time and it works well for me. If you don't receive a defective product, you shouldn't have any problems with it; Troubleshoot the device first before troubleshooting the switch. And think about the power your device needs - plug the micro USB into the power port if you need more. You must use your own for this, it is not enabled by default.
